Great video, when I first look at the washing machine was worried that it was a big job and an expensive one. Watch the video, was shocked to see the machine could be taken apart by removing 2 x screws. After that, a easy job. THANKS – save me money and made the other half think I’m great
Great video!
I had to take apart the body twice because I didn’t connect the other 2 red wires to the side of the motor.
Wasn’t sure which one went to which side as they dissconnect when I removed motor. Noticed they are not on the motor on this video.
Wouldn’t of been able to this without this great video. Nice work:)
Fantastic! I just fixed my washer for $4.88 (coupler on eBay w/free shipping) and less than 20 minutes of work!
Since I didn’t want to deal with the water in the drain hose, I just left the hoses connected and held the pump out of the way with my foot while removing/replacing the motor.
I wish I knew what cresari1 was referring to below, because I would gladly “support” this video for $14
Thank you so much you are a god send. I followed the instructions and was able to fix my washer at a cost of 8.95 buying a genuine part from E-bay. They also have one
for 5 dollars if you want the cheaper one.
The video presented by Mike in the repair of my Whirlpool washer was outstanding. After watching it, I performed the activity. It went perfect the first time and best of all, the repair recommended fixed the problem. My worry is that I somehow lost the “accept block” which I think I have to press for approval of the $14.00 payment. Have Mike email me if that is the case. I am a Five Star satisfied customer.
Appliancemike, Thanks for the video man, I am a big time do it yourselfer. I recently recieved a direct drive Whirlpool washer that has sat for over four years and when I turned it on the coupler broke or was all ready broken.. I’m told it worked fine four years ago. I was gona put a new one on but is there a major reason for them to break? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks…
Mike,
Thanks for such an easy to follow video! I am a 42 year old housewife. I called my repairman last week for a dishwasher recall. While they were ordering the part, my dishwasher quit draining and my washing machine quit spinning! He said $350 to replace Bosch motor and $150 to replace washer coupling. He left, I found your video, bought coupling for 18.95 and FIXED my washing machine! Thank you! I feel so proud! My husband is very impressed! Any Bosch dishwasher videos?

Comment made on March 21st, 2010 at 2:46 amHi,
This video very spplicsble to Kenmore Canada Model 110.4563291 from 10+ years ago.
Exceptions;
- panel screws on front
- was able to leave pump on as it was seized on
Problem was no spin dry and i found borken/worn peices on floor which were sure sign of cupler problem.
Thanks Mike!
